This 7,580m2 warehouse is to be taken over by a new tenant who intends to bales of plastic pellets there. The entire structure thus required a sprinkler system. 

We were contracted to re-draw the structure and design & install a sprinkler system to deliver 18mm/min of coverage to the stored goods, which included 5.5mm of “excessive clearance” allowance because of the high roof. This kind of high-density sprinkler coverage requires very heavy pipework. 

We are also installing the necessary control valve stations as well as all the connecting mains between buildings. 

Also included in our scope was the design of the pump house and foundations for the tanks, for which we used an architect. The builder is working under our direction to construct this for us. 

Finally, we are installing two tanks and a diesel pump. 

• Tank Spec: 442,000 litres each ; 884,000 litres combined effective capacity. 

• Sprinkler Pump Spec: Diesel powered pump delivering 7,200 litres/min at @ 7.5bar
